Barleypops - Kingston Springs

I drove over from the road and walked over from the Petro truck stop to this restaurant. The interior is decorated with guitars and music themes, and they play great music over the PA system. I had the spicy chicken with three sides, and the chicken was amazing! The coleslaw was exceptional, and the macaroni and cheese was also good. I asked for the chicken to be a 7 out of 10 for spiciness, and it was perfect! After my meal, I chatted with the owner and chef, who was very cool and a music enthusiast. I am definitely adding this place to my list of go-to spots while driving down I-40. Thank you for a great experience!

This restaurant is one of the best hot chicken spots I've ever been to! Located in a small town 20 miles outside of Nashville, it's easy to miss but definitely worth the visit. The owner is incredibly friendly, greeting each customer personally and ensuring they have a satisfying experience. The homemade Southern dishes are top-notch, surpassing even Hattie B's in the hot chicken department. The extra drive is definitely worth it for this gem of a restaurant!
