Delicious!! Had the mussels appetizer as well as the fried shrimp w/ noodles appetizer. GF bread by a local lady came with the mussels, and the shrimp was fried...

Again plenty of naturally gf options marked on menu but no dedicated fryer so be sure to ask and let them know if you're ceoliac. Excellent homemade icecreams.

Definitely reserve before you go! They get full and won't take walk-ins. Loved the atmosphere here, sitting was very comfortable. We had the scallops, pig bells...

"We found this jewel at our visit to kinsale, irland. I need gluten and milk free and they both have! they have gluten-free bread, but it is more seeds and I am also allergic to sesame so that it could not have. I had salat and suppe that was wonderful. I was also able to have a gluten-free and milk-free orange skyberry cake for dessert! I recommend this place very much! I had no reaction."

"Have eaten in Man Friday for 40 years. About 12 months ago I had a series of below par meals and decided to give the place a skip. Went back last week and regretted it. A small sole on the bone cost €41.95!! Tasty but miserable. My wife had a steak that was as tough as old boot. Another member had scampi; said she'd get better in the local chipper. I should vegetables come as extra for another €4.50. Since Philip retired, Man Friday had changed, and not for the better. Adieu, old friend"

"Where do I begin? Food, service, atmosphere, this place has it all. Started out with an amazing vermouth on the rocks. Progressed to a delicious glass of champagne with 1/2 dozen oysters. Grand finale was a small charcuterie board with a glass of biological negroamaro from Puglia. My dining partner loved her mozzarella with sun-dried tomatoes and basil. Great jazz music. Perfect lighting. Professional knowledgeable staff. Must see food destination in Kinsale."

"The customer experience from the time we waited to be seated at a table to our departure the customer service was exceptional. The food was beautifully cooked and served in a timely manner and nothing was a problem. The staff were very attentive and in particular Pat the Manager. Pat ensured that our dining experience at the Spaniard was a memorable one and we will definitely be returning. Well done to everyone at The Spaniard for a 10 out of 10 customer experience."
