"My wife and I had both burgers perfectly cooked to order. Hers was a delicious mushroom/bef mixed patty from this world. Mine was a classic cheeseburger with Ranch. The Poutineries are some of the best I had outside Canada. Will definitely be back."

"I ventured into this gem of a restaurant this morning for the first time, and was so glad I did!! Our waitress was sweet and pleasant. My one yr old grandson, and he mom was with me. We started out with pancakes served with fried apples. The pancake was so delicious. It had a pumpkin, allspice flavor and this golden butter that was poured on top of the pancake. It didn't even need syrup. I got the pancakes with pecans on top. However, once I started eating it, I realized there were pecans in the batter too. Absolutely delicious. The eggs, grits, and potatoes were also cooked to perfection. I said to my friend, I don't know who is cooking back there, but it was definitely done with love. She said, they got someone's Grandma back there cooking!! I highly recommend a trip to Lovicks in Kinston, NC! I can't wait to go back and try their lunch!! I hope the pictures help tell the story! "My fiancée and I had waited almost two years to enjoy the cook and the peasants and last night we made it. It surpassed our expectations (which were honestly rather high) in every respect. The food was phenomenal. I had the trout and my fiancée had the duck. We also loved their fried green tomatoes and the desserts were delicious. Your entire staff was especially fantastic for our Server Mallory. She liked to submit my trout table page because there was no way to do it. She also let us in the gift shop and showed us so we could make some shopping. She was wonderful. I would recommend this restoration again and again. We will be the most clear back and try the boiler room as well as next time."

"Went to pick up an order from the menu, then the attendant brought out a brand new pan of teriyaki chicken, steaming hot, and that was it. I had to have some of that. I love the peanut chicken, and also like the stuffed shrimp. I wish they had the Chinese Meatballs, hint hint. And Walnut Shrimp. Those are other favorites of mine. As I've posted before, moving here from Florida and finding this establishment, they have the best Lo Mein I've ever had. From here to Florida. Hands down. It's a joy to go to Golden China Buffet as often as I can."
