"I stayed in The Park Hotel many years before. It has stayed the very same decor. In my opinion it would benefit greatly from a little update/refresh for example the taps in the main public bathroom on the ground floor are so worn the silver has worn off and revealed a brown/rusted layer). The pros of the hotel are the location as expected is great. The food is tasty and portions are generous. The staff are very well trained and accommodating. I would say that the staff are the strength of this hotel as there is a personal touch not often received in many of the other chain hotels apart from the lady on reception at our checkout who was not as friendly as you would expect at front of house). Con: Unfortunately in the room that I stayed, number 213, there is an annoying noise outside room overlooks grubby back of buildings/carpark) I suspect it comes from some sort of generator? So I would avoid this room! Also there was an issue with noise outside by room at 3.30 in the morning, there was some sort of service room containing pipes beside my room and a member of staff spent a considerable amount of time rattling with keys to get it open."

"My family and I went to dinner after a long trip to athenry. we walked around the city and saw that la rustica had a lot of meal options, so it went. the menu has a good selection of pizzas, pasta and several other options. as usual, the children chose pizzas while we went for kebabs and cajun huhn. the whole food was served immediately and tasted delicious. when we were int, we thought it was a takeaway with only a few tables, but there is also a sitting area in the upper floor. there was only one other family when we arrived, but within a short while some other customers arrived and it was pretty busy! the kitchen area is visible from the area and it was clear that there were regular customers (always a good sign that had a good relationship to the chef and staff. we were met by a friendly waitress, sitting and served immediately. overall we enjoyed our meal in la rustica and would not hesitate to go back!"

"Food is ok. We ended up with a prix fix due to our party size, so the menu was decided for us. Thankfully, it was a great slew of options. Pretty much everything is something I can do at home with even better flavor. It *is* a welcome reprieve in the sea of pub food served throughout the region. The servers are very sweet and did their greatest to take care of all of us. If I lived here? It probably wouldn 't be a regular haunt for me, though. "The atmosphere is well worth the trip. Gorgeous building, fantastic music, warm folks at the bar/host/serve. Maybe we came in with high expectations with the Michelin mentions/accolades, but the food was just OK (roughly 90 euros per person). Not dish was terrible, but for the cost we were pretty disappointed with it. Not upset as we had a lovely evening by candlelight with lovely folks in a lovely space. Left full and happy, the food was just not anything at all to write home about."
