the pilgergaststätte was once the house of a church servicer of the small pilgrimage chapel st. marien (giersbergkapelle), which is not far away. from church times one follows a sign and it goes up to the ggiersberg. from above you have a beautiful view over Freiburg and can look up to the vosges at good weather. especially on hot days, it is cooler and more pleasant here than in Freiburg. we make here a small vesper...
