What User likes about The Stables:
Great lunch stop on a Sunday cycleride along the canal with the kids. Good selection of food on the menu and good portion sizes. Great for kids and adults alike. View all feedback. What User doesn't like about The Stables:
Great ambience and helpful, friendly waiting staff. We had the weekend treat menu. Starters were fine but there were little niggles with the main courses. Not enough to complain about though. read moreThe Stables restaurant offers a mix of positive and negative reviews from customers. While some diners experienced issues with cold meat and overcooked vegetables, the attentive staff managed to address complaints politely and offer compensations. On the other hand, many patrons praised the friendly greeting, excellent food quality, and efficient service provided by the staff. The charming 18th-century inn, located by the Forth Clyde canal, creates a welcoming atmosphere for visitors. The cozy interior, complete with a real log fire and fairy lights, enhances the dining experience. Despite some minor shortcomings with the chicken sandwiches, customers appreciate the overall warm and cozy ambience of the bar/restaurant. With a mix of traditional charm, good service, and delicious food, The Stables remains a popular choice for many diners.
