"We went to shaks for the first time to lunch after we had been through a flyer. we ordered jacket kartoffel with spicy chicken, samosa chaat and peri peri chicken panini (which the children loved and they are picky). the place is clean, bright, with sitting area and very busy. people really kind and are ordering and was made exactly how we like it was well packed to take out. all foods were made from fresh ingredients before them. the water cycle was still in the water! they only ask at workstations for lunch."

"Visited 5/1/24. We have used this place many times over the years. We hadnt been for sometime and last time felt the normal superb food and service had dipped slightly. Still good but not quite at the usual high standard. Last night it was back to its superb best. We had the set menu A. the mixed starter platter was great in particular the chicken satay sticks were lovely juicy chicken. The three mains were all excellent. The thai red curry is awesome, the beef in oyster sauce superb. Im baffled by the one star reviews and would question there authenticity. Service was superb. Definitely back to its best. Great value too. Dont forget its BYO alcohol."

"Ordered food via Just Eat,easy to order just struggled with the excellent choices!Food arrived at the time it said it would,delivery driver very pleasant,food well packaged and arrived hot(apart from salad and yoghurt mint sauce! food portion size was good and the food absolutely yummy delicious,had meat samosas,packed with flavour,lovely big chunks of chicken tikka starter and sexy chicken wings for our starter,all really good quality,then for mains we had the chick peas and potatoes,chicken tikka masala,pilau rice and garlic naan,all exquisite,would highly recommend"

"I have been here once before, this was my partners third visit. We have had take outs that have been lovely. I cannot say a wrong word about the staff but the meal was not great, very average. My partners tikka masala was more or less soup with very little chicken. She did try to mention it and the waiter deflected to the fact the meal is described as “creamy” on the menu. He didn’t see the que I specifically asked for my fish jalfrezi to be medium spice as I struggle with spice. Upon reflection I should have requested mild. The curry was absolutely boiling, to the point of not tasting it as it was so hot. My stomach was upside down for a day afterwards. Don’t be put off by this review as I know they can do better and I will likely order more take outs. They just weren’t on form on the night"
