That is all! Admittedly from a reviewer who started drinking there in 1981, aged 16. Love it! The Brewhouse supplies some fantastic beers, Yorkshire hospitality. Not posh but perfect, pool table, jukebox, friendly people. Expect a warm welcome to enjoy a delicious beer or 2. View all feedback.
What daveyh87 doesn't like about The Nook:
Quirky bar by the river. Came for an afternoon pint, the place was empty. Inside very rustic. We’re all getting used to the new rules and regulations and I’m sure the staff must be sick of telling people but easily mistakes are made, but I... View all feedback.
Absolutely love this quaint little oub. Always nice as locals make the tourists so very welcome. Great range of real ales, blonde being my fave. My partner had a nice pint of Guinness. Great 80’s music playing and put us in the mood for our live music event at the picturedome just across the road. Will definitely be visiting again.
We called in for a drink, we sat outside as it was very hot. and there were lots of people outside in the yard, lots of tables. Not really my kind od place but we did enjoy our drinks and left. Not sure if we would be back, sorry.
Called in for a beer whilst out on mountain bikes. Nice selection of ales they brew themselves. I had best mate had Skyblue blonde. Both very nice. Place is not the Ritz but it's not Ritz prices. £3.50 for a pint in Holmfirth is great.
The Nook is what it is. It's a bit rough and noisy but if you don't mind that, they do brew excellent beer and it is really very very good.
Been regular customers for years but it is now closing earlier and employing inexperienced staff and losing trade. Now off the main pub route around Holmfirth for socialising and if it isn’t open late then there isn’t any reason to go to a dated pub with the worst loos in West Yorkshire. It can’t trade on its reputation as a Holmfirth institution for much longer without investment. I know that lockdowns affected pub trade hugely and that the owners have invested in another pub, but we really don’t want to see this much loved pub in Holmfirth decline any further.
