"Definitely book ahead, as the whole restaurant was packed when we arrived. We had booked though, so our table was reserved. The food was beautifully cooked, well presented and plentiful. One disappointment was that the Scapa Skillen sauce, served with the haggis and black pudding balls, was served with mushrooms. I'm allergic to mushrooms, so wouldn't have chosen that option if I'd known (not mentioned on the menu). Other than that, we had a great meal. One of the best things is that vegan options are available, including ice cream, at no extra cost which is a refreshing change from most other places."
