"Tucked away in a sunken downtown office building, this hidden gem is a great place to hang out and have the best poutine in the region. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. They have a courtyard that makes the restaurant feel very unique to other places for pub grub and a beer. Their poutine is always consistently delicious at both locations. This time we finally had the opportunity to try their fries straight from the kitchen as opposed to waiting for delivery since the pandemic started!"

"Had the Boondocks No 2 today and enjoyed every bite. 1st time visitor as a fun fact. Definitely returning and telling buddies about this local business and gem in my mind. "Growing up with Guyanese parents and as someone who loves to cook, I have pretty high expectations when it comes to Caribbean food. The owner/chef Mark knows his stuff and gave us amazing food that was spot on. The goat was flavourful, prawns perfectly cooked and the fried chicken devoured. The portion sizes were true to Caribbean hospitality and brimming with the main ingredient. It’s clear Mark loves his craft even his reimagined side coleslaw was an unexpected delight! I only wished we were closer (visiting from GTA), as we’d be regulars for sure. Thanks again Mark!! Also, a shout out to Monica who was our AWESOME server. If you’re lucky enough to be driving distance, you gotta check these guys out."

"Food was decent with fast service. Some unexpected scenarios at our first time trying this restaurant though. While selecting the menu items from provided tablet, I noticed, all of a sudden my bill turned from around 80 90 to about 250. I was surprised since I planned to order more items. Checked with the staff. They mentioned that it has been changed to dinner buffet to order anything we want except for drinks. Point is, no one informed about this ,dinner buffet change, at any time not while booking the table, not when we entered the restaurant, not when we were seated by the server and not even on the website . Didn 't want to make it a big deal since, we were having a good time with family, however, after sometime a server came with a smiling face and said we have 20 minutes to leave as there 's a time limit. I wasn 't happy but we discussed to let just leave and that 's what we did after finishing our food. Keep customers informed about these price changes and time limit beforehand, so they can come prepared."
