"I really don’t. After seeing the overwhelmingly positive reviews for this place on TripAdvisor and Google, I did think I’d be in for a “meal . . . to remember;” however, nearly everything I’ve tried at Rosario’s has been dancing on the precipice of mediocrity....The burgers? Pretty standard – certainly not offensive by any means, but hardly memorable, either. The wings? I admit they’re decent, but you can get similar quality wings at other establishments in town. The halibut? Well, I’ve tried two versions – the baked halibut with baby shrimp and the “fish chips.” For me, the baked halibut was good. Actually, it’s easily the best thing I’ve had at Rosario’s. The halibut was cooked nicely – juicy – and the accompanying sauce worked well with the delicate natural flavours of the halibut. The accompanying vegetables were fresh and added some nice colour to the plate, but I did feel like the rice was a bit of an afterthought. And how was the halibut chips? Admittedly, when an establishment advertises that they have “The Best Halibut Fish Chips in the North” expectations are – quite naturally – going to be very high . . . especially if one has sampled halibut chips all over the North (and elsewhere). My verdict? “meh.” The serving of halibut is generous but, overall, the dish is just very unremarkable. The batter, while not greasy, had a bread-like consistency, which isn’t very appealing when it comes to fish and chips. The halibut was also a bit dry. Best in the North? Far from it. Mumford’s is better. Dolly’s is better. Charter’s is better. You get the idea. I don’t know – maybe I’m missing something? Trying the wrong dishes? I’ve visited this establishment probably more than any other in town to see if I can find an item on the menu that blows my proverbial socks off but to no avail. The only major items I haven’t tried are the pasta and pizza – but given the average cuisine I’ve had thus far I’m not exactly motivated to return. At the end of the day I think the high percentage of very positive reviews caused my standards to be a little too high; I mean, Rosario’s doesn’t serve bad food. It’s decent comfort food. And when it comes to cuisine in Kitimat, I think that in and of itself is a decent standard. Now, a brief comment upon the service: In short, I agree with what a fair number of recent reviews have said. Service is friendly but slow. Often times, I’ve had to wait an extended time just to satisfy my bill. During my last visit, the servers were too distracted openly talking about their tips (oh my). FOOD: 3/5 SERVICE: 3/5 VALUE: 3/5 RECOMMENDATION: Well, as noted, Kitimat isn’t exactly a hot spot for decent cuisine; however, Rosario’s is certainly decent enough and, importantly, they’re consistent in their food delivery. The menu, with its focus on classic comforts, is wide enough to satisfy any number of tastes but isn’t so wide so as to compromise overall quality. Mild recommendation. "This has the classic A&W food you would come to love and expect. Food is hot and service is friendly and courteous. I noticed that there is only one entrance in the front and can get busy during rush hour."

"It was a very quiet restaurant and not too noisy which was good. The food was alright but not completely the best. My biggest comment was on the workers attitude which seemed very careless and like they ‘hated their job’. I would have much appreciated if this wasn’t an issue as it effects the business as a whole."
