Tiny restaurant with great quality and flavors. We had small plates filled with taste. The quality was shown in every bite. The wine list was suitable for the size of the restaurant and the choices were well cured. This is a quality restaurant. The staff was available and friendly without being intrusive. What User doesn't like about Festina Lente:
The restaurant is a small room, so in a busy night, my husband and I had to scream to hear each other about the sound. Appetizers were delicious, but very small plates. I ordered the shells and they were inconspicuous and slandered. We were not happy with it and it was an expensive dish, so we sent it back, something we do very rarely. Wonderful! We were in Italy several times, so I am always hesitant to eat Italian in the states. Festina was delicious! Everything was perfect. The small, cozy atmosphere is so welcoming.
Mom got for a nice pasta dinner. The staff is charming and had excellent suggestions that Cavatelli was SUPERB! I could have killed myself, but I've been paying attention, great selection of wine and desserts are delicious! You can taste the quality of the ingredients.
Not that hidden jewel of Kittery! Festina Lente is one of our favorite spots in the area. Thanks to curated Italian wine list (more difficult to find in the area), stunning seasonal dishes, cozy space, friendly staff. You can't miss Festina. Wonderful for date nights or a friend for a quick bite (the appetizers are fantastic).
Not sure I'm expressing words! Yum does not seem sufficient for the raised aromas and combos coming from this kitchen. What a treat. Thank you.
Delicious!!!! The food is absolutely an experience, excellent combinations that complimented each other. Fresh , homemade from scratch !
