"Expect the unexpected! La Pentola has always been known for combining flavours in a way that one might not be used to....but then your palet ignites with the bursts of flavour.<br/ <br/ Always enjoyed going there.... Try the crayfish!<br/ <br/ We got married earlier this year and asked Shane (the owner chef) to do your wedding dinner for us and our guests. It was the best decision we could have made. Shane and his team went above and beyond. Prawn platters, duck, salads I can go on. Honestly the best food we ever had. The waiters were so helpful, even helping with our three year old nephew so his mom could eat.<br/ <br/ Thank you Shane for providing us.... and South Africa with amazing food and culinary experiences!"

"Hermanus is always busy especially this long weekend with the Extreme Sports taking place. We wandered past this quaint authentic building and were immediately attracted. I then spied some food on the tables and we were sold. The small inside area looked full but there were still a few tables outside under the large awning which we preferred but this filled up soon after we were seated. The service was slick and professional and our drinks came promptly. I had the linefish which they called 'Sea Bream ' which I discovered was Steenbras, a popular local line fish not often seen on menus. I had a generous potion very well cooked, juicy and very tasty. It was served on sautéed potatoes with a delicious mushroom sauce. Michele had the Chicken schnitzel which was accompanied by a large green salad, plenty of peas and beans, not much tomato, topped with feta. The accompanying sauce was a mild blue cheese which was also yummy. The only strange part was the 2 slices of ham plonked on top of the chicken? Never had schnitzel which ham and it didn 't really add to the otherwise delicious meal. They have good craft beers and local wines with strong coffee to finish off! What a lovely find in the heart of Hermanus. Must come back for the sardines."

"This was our goto for good, brunch and dinner. Everything served with finesse and amasingly prepared. Cannot fault anything. They have small gas powered flames for atmosphere and the food then compliments that. Well done!"

"I had high expectations based on the reviews I read and boy was I not disappointed. We had some starters, the Mac and Cheese balls and some chicken wings. Honestly the best chicken wings I gave ever had. Then for mains we opted for the wet aged sirloin. I had Mac and cheese as a side and my wife had the cauliflower. I also added some onion rings. The steak was perfectly cooked to our specifications. But the cherry on top were those amazing sides. They also have a nice selection of local wines, brandies and gins. The service was amazing, staff are so knowledgeable and on the ball."

"Hanging Rock is undoubtedly the best dining in Pringle bay. Undoubtedly! Service is way beyond what one would expect of this town. Aesthetically the decorating has a bohemian appeal whilst keeping with the formal requirements of fine dining. <br/ <br/ All in all the gem of this windy bay."
