Meeting friends in The Market Tavern Pub on a cold January morning I passed this Poundbakery in Kirkby Town Centre and decided to drop into here for a quick bite to eat . The food is cooked fine. The trays they give you which come from under the counter are nearly always dirty, stained and have crumbs or bits and pieces from the previous customer. They are collected in and put under the counter without being washed. Same with the cutlery. It is often dirty and has tiny bits of food stuck to it. You have to ask for tea spoons and serviettes.
