"This is a really nice little cafe. We called in here this morning and had a ham and cheese croissant and scones and coffee. The coffee was really good and the food delicious."

"Not sure why this happened, possibly because it was a long weekend and so busy, that things went south - every other time I have eaten here, the meals have been quite good. This time, however, my meal was less than stellar. I know the cook, he's a great bloke and chef, and I can only imagine that he was so under the pump, this one just slipped by. I ordered the steak and was unable to finish it, due to it being tough, quite gristly and having a peculiar taste, like the meat had lost its bloom. I was unable to finish it, and also found the salad to be lacking, due to a limited number of ingredients, although they were fresh, but the dressing was a little too liberally applied. I did mention this to the staff member at the time of payment, just to inform them of the problem, but didn't formally complain, as the cook was very busy as the restaurant was still fairly full. Never mind, we all have off days and I sincerely hope that this was a one-off. I will be back again, though."
