"Used to live across this place when it was just a restaurant on the ground floor with the owners living on the first floor. Was a kid then and could see the sons of the family working out on the roof. Am amazed at the transformation of India restaurant and I continue to be a patron whenever I go to Kolkata. Living right across this place was like heaven... because their chicken chaap, biryani and most importantly, paya in winters, are simply outstanding. I am very happy that India Restaurant has made it so big. A huge part of my childhood nostalgia is tied to the place."
