What Abhinav Nagarajan doesn't like about East India Room:
Loved the ambience and the decor of the restaurant. The starters were really delicious but the main course unfortunately disappointed us to a great extent. Also, the dishes were quite expensive as compared to the taste. Overall it was not a good experience( food wise) though the staff were quite helpful. View all feedback.
Wondeful place with good food. It is a restaurant served in the colonial British era. The whole ambience is excellent and the food is good. Great place to spend time with friends and family n an even better place for a romantic dinner. Open air seats are available but will only be a good option in winter.
Great service and fantastic food. Enjoy the best pantheras I've ever had, tasted the chicken tetrazzini....delish. And tried the Thali (can not remember what it is called)... all so good. The cook is very responsive and the staff is well trained.
Food quality is too good. Behavior of the chef is great. He visited all the people who wanted to eat there. He was humble and communicated very politely about the food and the process of cooking. The mouthwater bengali courts captured the spirit and left a happy mood.
One of the best ambience in Kolkata. This is in the Swabhumi complex. The complex is now transformed into a boutique hotel and is a great traditional Rajabari feels. That's a nice farewell to the hectic of the Kolkata. And in a prime location. The decor is very good. The food is also great. Loved the pork chops and chicken a la keiv a brand British Kolkata dish). These two are a must. We also tried the Stroganoff and a Danish meatball spaghetti, which was fine. Make an unforgettable experience here.
East India Room has a beautiful ambience with amazing hospitality, food and service. We tried the following along with a few mocktails Chitpur Special Jali Kebab Tulaipanji Pathar Pulao Dhakai Morog Pulao Dhonepata Kachalonka Murgi All of these were too delicious, and the quantity is good as well. Although the price is a little bit on the higher side but it's worth it. Must visit.
