Hey Joan! Stopped in for an omelette Saturday at the recommendation of fellow classmates. You guys were super busy but service was still great. Omelette made my top 5 in the country! We will stop again every time we pass through Kooskia. View all feedback.
What Kay Jer Scott doesn't like about Kooskia Café:
The food was good, but the service was as slow and horrible. Took a long time to get anyone to come to our table. Seems the workers were too busy talking to their friends who were there. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu View all feedback.
Great bread, good food. Server was more interested in her friends that were there. Inside Could use a make over.

I’ve eaten here a dozen times, maybe more, over a dozen years, usually on Nov deer hunting trips or just passing through on travels outside of my home in Eagle. This is your quintessential small town Idaho diner. It’s not fast food and it’s not a culinary experience. Service has never been bad, sometimes seems a bit slow, but sometimes the place is full and sometimes not so be patient it’s hard for these businesses in small towns to staff. I’ve often had good service, never once bad. Food is burgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, tots, eggs and hash browns, chicken fried steak, etc. All has been good, none the greatest. Portions are fine, unless your my friend Pat who is 6’5”, then you add a piece of homemade pie, which is good. 2024 prices and $13-$15 a meal, $4 a beer(bottled). McDonald’s is $11, so this is a great value. Happy to pay it. I’ll be coming back here for another 15 yrs, starting this Nov. seems like everything changes, not for the better, so I hope this place is around. Give em a try, unless you’re a foodie with attitude or a cheapskate who still thinks sit down meals are $9/plate. PS. If hauling a trailer, easy perking on or across the street at grocery store and shop after.
Worst service ever 2 hours to get 4 simple meals with horrible service. Don’t recommend!!!
Saw homemade pies on a sign outside walking by, need I say more? I had the strawberry rhubarb and it 's almost unbeatable. It 's has actual strawberries and rhubarb. No nasty bulk pie filling here. The sweetness is perfect and not overwhelming like every other generic pie. It 's some of the best pie filling I 've had. The only miss is the crust. If there was just a way to get the crisp back and brown it a little more, then it would be unbeatable. It would be a destination pie! Oh yeah, it 's got an amazing underutilized outdoor patio, beautiful space. Parking: Alot of parking Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly.
