Hongming Vegetarian Food - Krabi

Ended up having lunch 3 times there. First time the lady kept asking me what I wanted so I ended up with a plate full of everything and most was too spicy for me. I got a bit disappointed, but my fault. I came to try again twice and then asked for non spicy options and it turned out to be super tasty! Rice with two toppings is 40 bath and you get extra fresh salad. They have different kinds of soy meat, tofu and veggie dishes depending on the day. You can also choose one of few noodle dishes from the menu (also 40 bath) and they are really tasty too a big bowl of noodle soup with soy meat, tofu and veggies. Loved it!

I love this place, it has a run down feel to it but the food is amazing, plenty of choices, they give you greens and iced water to go with your meal, there is no pretence here, you get your food, pay and leave, a simple easy place to eat.

When i was in Krabi town for a few weeks with a healing broken foot I think I ate here with my girlfriend pretty much every day and sometimes 2 times a day. There aren't a lot of options in Krabi town sure, but I looked forward to every meal even after we had been here so many times. Each day they had something different to the last and there were some dishes that I would happily have every day! It's very cheap to eat here and the food quality is consistent. Get here early in the morning to get it hot! And accept it will be like warm/cool in the afternoon! The ladies that run the place are so friendly and always smile. Even when some naughty monkeys liberated a few of their snacks!

Very spacious space, and got a lot of choices. Especially petai my favourite. Good to try in Krabi town
