Schwarzes Pferd - Krefeld

The first impression you get when you enter the restaurant is that the furnishings are a bit oldfashioned. I didn't like the atmosphere at all. The welcome is not particularly friendly, but the service is quite fast. The food I ordered didn't meet my expectations....The mixed salad consisted of coleslaw, the sauce was similar to mayonnaise. An ordered breaded chop could have been crispier, the sauce was a bit too creamy and had a taste that needed getting used to. When I was asked about my satisfaction and criticism, they only replied that all the other guests were satisfied. That's really not a smart way to treat guests

The Schwarzes Pferd must now be one of the best places in Krefeld for families and friends to eat out. The menu is very comprehensive with meals for every taste and wish, the service is absolutely professional and the ambiance is excellent in Winter garden....We have recently eaten here times with differing sizes of groups and have always been very happy with the treatment. Keep up the good work, we'll see you soon, it's my Wife's birthday in a few weeks

Schwarzes Pferd has now evolved into one of Krefeld's most reliable restaurants. After the change in management it took a little time to settle down but the very extensive menu can now cater for all tastes and age groups. The bier garten is well used...in the hot weather and the winter garden adds so much to the style. The bar area is used by groups as a meeting point for drinks and use of the kegel bahn. skittle alley. The serving staff are absolutely professional and if you want speed you can have it. We have booked in a party of for a family get together and are confident that all will be happy with our choice

The food here was really good. Atmosphere was nice but there are better in the area. It is an ideal place to go with groups as they have a large room at the rear of the restaurant. Prices are good. It will hit the spot...if you are hungry

My family visited this nice local restaurant - nothing to complain but a bit room for efforts and fresher food level. So OK. Considering its super close - about 5min to the highway exit for a stop over ... sitting in a beer garden for a break while on the way to Holland... :-)
