"We were hesitant because of some of the reviews on here but service was friendly, the roast duck was great, food came quickly (dined in). Food was reasonably priced given that the portions were big. The restaurant did great given the amount of dine in customers and a take away phone line ringing off the hook, obviously for a reason."

"We stayed for a week and were very comfortable is a spacious room which overlooked the garden. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only criticism is that although the bathroom was clean it was badly in need of a coat of paint. Having said that I really enjoyed my stay and would go back again."

"Standing room only here. The line up to place an order was slow and the menu quite ordinary. There was also a line up for the bar, but this worked well as there were serving. Not a great choice of wines, but plenty of beers....Staff were quick to clear and clean tables as people left or finished their drinks. The food was okay but nothing of great note"

"Book a table inside, turn up just before sunset, enjoy some drinks on the terrace then head inside for the food. Follow these instructions and you will be satisfied. Bonus points for spotting the mass exodus of bats along the river. Cocktails were good and food was delicious. Plus they made no qualms about splitting our bill in half."
