I tried falafel in pita, shawarma and samosa. I barely could call it falafel the pattiy itself made of lentils. Other filling is cabbage, tomato, carrot, pickled olives and kind of vinaigratte souce. I don't thing, that the recepie developer tried even once the real falafel.
