Pizzeria La Tosca - La Châtre

Nice day with the restaurant offering seating inside and outside, we ordered a pizza, a pave de boeuf and a bottle of Valancay quick service pizza and wine was good and the steak was ok this restaurant is not expensive and is suited for for family.

We had a little trouble on Saturday night to get a table (the sun sets very late) in the shade, but we very quickly got what we wanted. Good food, good wine, the staff very friendly. A quiet place to relax in the warm summer evening. Near us the whole families, three or four generations, had the dinner and it was very nice to see. Reasonable and acceptable prices.

We came here twice whilst on holiday in the region, all 5 of us emptied our plates of pizza/steak and had a wonderful different dessert each. The whole experience was made much better when the French waitress realised our French wasn't that good, so, spoke a very passable English and advised us just how big the pizzas were and what the various toppings consisted of. We were very grateful for the help she gave us on both occasions! The food was superb, served fairly quickly, and freshly made to order. Takeaway meals are available. Next time we go here we will order a standard pizza again as the large one is too much to eat in one go! All in all, nice outdoor eating, pleasant surroundings in a tree lined square, very good food at a very good price. The tall blonde waitress speaks very good English, if you need help!

Our yearly visit with the family - busy night with few staff so waiting time was longer than usual, apart from that the food and service was good.We sat outside with thunderclouds approaching and we were hurried inside before we got soaked - well done ! See you in october :)

Good meal with a wide choice of dishes (pastes, salads, pizzas, etc.). and very pleasant staff, a good evening spent!!!
