Turned up without a reservation and it was not a problem. It's a basic place serving good honest food. Decor is dated but that is irrelevant when your having a French evening with pals. The food was very nice. They serve local wines which is always a nice touch. Especially when the wine is priced so reasonably. The service was good, not too OTT and we left feeling happy and satisfied. View all feedback.
What Caden Beatty doesn't like about La Guinguette Gaudoise:
Clearly not a pleasant place to eat. Service is quite rude when you ask for something and food is clearly not up to the expectations given by the price. Meat was dry, many dishes were watery and pasta didn't look like it View all feedback.
We turned up as a party of 8 at the last minute and found the restaurant hospitable, and accommodating. Food was good value reasonable choice across the menu but not gourmet, local vins good value. Pleasant relaxed atmosphere with mixture of tourists and locals.
Superb. Lively, homey, spirited atmosphere. Food of the region well prepared and copious portions. Fine service. Fine rapport prix/qualite. A delight.
This restaurant is a typic one in La Gaude, provence specialities that you would not find elsewhere. At least try once!
Wonderful atmosphere. The staff is very efficient and happy to serve you. The food is good Better be ready for Big portions. Super recommended!
First time here with work colleagues. There was 15 of us & we were very well looked after. We opted for the middle (price wise) of the set meal (28 Euros). The food was plentiful & very good quality. We of course sampled the house wine (the red & the rose) & no complaints from anyone there either. As others have mentioned if you plan to eat here then starve yourself prior. Highly recommended whether there is a large gang of you or for couples / families. This will be on the top of my list to visit again when I am in that area.
