Food was amazing! Our server was wonderful, attentive, and made so many great recommendations. They ran out of the beer we wanted and comped us for two. The patio is super cute with ivy and string lights. View all feedback.
What Miller Lind doesn't like about Barrel House Social:
We waited 45 minutes to get an order in for appetizers. We didn’t get our meal until two hours in. We were with our one year old child. Ran out of food. Waitress came by only a few times. Will not be returning for a while. View all feedback.
Cosy romantic darkened atmospheric railway neighbors, there is a lot of cool mood here, fantastic looking menu, prices want to remind us of price gouging how Shell makes its biggest gains in decades, but I digresse! We four guys were well treated, showed a beautiful design and cocktail selection, given time to scan the tempting burgers and meat. We went for the pig belly appetizer, fantastic and too easy to eat, a perfect crust and maybe combination. I made a German camp and a falafel scarf. The others made espresso martini and Burger. Excellent beer and mix! But strangely my beer probably had more calories than my bowl, which was disappointing and more rabbit food than classic weekend diving. Falafel was delicious, but small. The dish needed more, desperate for a sauce to bring the ingredients together. The others were very happy for their burgers, noticed that all dishes disappeared much faster than mine. There's good food to pamper here for an evening, but I wasn't ready for Chicago stickers shock coming from Indiana. Better La Grange sat the block in Prasino where I felt the budget was right what I ate.
This Gastropub has some great happy hour specials and a pretty decent beverage menu. I went there for the first time with my family and met my brother and his family this past weekend. My brother recommended this place for dinner and it did not disappoint! They were able to accommodate our large party with the existing reservation we had! I highly recommend making a reservation for a weekend evening! Goes without saying right? The appetizers were good, but I wish the portions for the crispy pork belly were larger since it is pretty pricey. The crispy wings were really good, and everyone else enjoyed the Mediterranean Falafel and Grilled artichoke dip. The appetizers are pretty pricey, I would recommend trying the Pork Belly and Wings! We ordered various drinks for appetizers as well. I'm not a wine connoisseur, but the Inscription Pinot Noir I ordered was meh.For dinner, I had the Short Rib Pasta which was mouth-watering and fantastic. I highly recommend ordering this! I was having trouble from choosing the short rib or the steak sandwich/cheeseburger, but I'm glad I went with the short rib pasta! The shrimp pasta, cheeseburger, whiskey salmon, and hot chicken sandwich were all ordered and loved! I ordered a side of five cheese mac and cheese with chicken and it was great! You literally get a small grilled chicken breast cut into strips on top of the mac! Fantastic! We skipped dessert as everyone was full! The kids did not complain as they all devoured their dishes! The service is fantastic and there is plenty of parking on the street or available in the lots downtown. They have a brunch menu available on the weekends that looks tremendous. Chicken Biscuit Sliders, French Toast, Breakfast Burritos, and Biscuits and Gravy! I'm Hungry again! Give this place a chance if looking for a great meal, you will not be disappointed!
First time here. They have happy hour. The spicy chicken sandwich was a bit spicy but good and juicy.
Nestled in downtown La Grange by the train tracks, this is a great place to stop on a cold winter day for a night out. During my girls' night out, my friend and I sipped on their winter cocktails: the Winter Mule and the Perfect Pearing. Both cocktails were perfectly refreshing and fit the Christmas decor that was up in the restaurant. I had a delicious side caesar salad, and the dressing was creamer than most dressings, but it wasn't heavy, so it was a good balance. I also had a cup of French Onion soup, perfect for the chilly evening. We finished the night out with the Flourless Chocolate Cake, and oh my lanta, if I could live off a dessert, it would be that. It is great to pair the chocolate cake and the luxardo cherries with the whiskey-cherry ice cream to finish the plating. This little hidden gem is the perfect spot for a date night or a night to catch up with friends.
Great whiskey bar! Huge selection of whiskeys. Whiskey salmon bowl, their signature burger and hot chicken sandwich were great. Be warned, the Hot chicken sandwich is pretty hot. We also had the falafel bowl... You could probably skip this and find another amazing dish on their menuFood: 5/5
