"Simple food, wonderfully cooked. This place is small with only a handful of tables which allows them to provide a first class service. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. We don't speak much Spanish but the owner was extremely amicable and took the time to explain everything to us and we made our choices. The red tuna was cooked to perfection and was melt in the mouth. My partner had the tenderloin which was just beautiful. Unfortunately we didn't have room for desserts as we'd had a late lunch. We both had a glass of the house red and white which were above the level of most house wines you typically find. Fantastic place just a few blocks from the main plaza. Would highly recommend and we hope to visit again before we leave Salta."

"Conocí este lugar de casualidad. No sólo las empanadas son DELICIOSAS, sino que el precio es super accesible ($5 c/u, carne, pollo o queso) y el lugar, pese a ser muy sencillo, es impecable. Los vi acomodar las empanadas en las cajas con una prolijidad y pulcritud que no he visto en otros lugares. La atención, muy buena.Si pasan por El Carril, no dejen de comer empanadas del PAPABUELO!"

"Exquisite food. I came in thinking that I was going to find myself at super high prices and not, the price quality ratio is excellent. The menu does not have so many options but the dishes are quite sophisticated and with many ingredients. The seafood sauté is delicious, and the meat steed sauté in love with me. The attention was very good. I was recommended to book because it's the hotel's restaurant, but someone can't stay there. To enter the restaurant, you must first enter the hotel. With tip I spent $2000 (June 2022). Best I ate in Salta."
