Friendly staff- Ernesto was so good to our little one. The food was great, I loved everything we ordered and it was all presented very well! They also had special offers on the drinks. We visited the location on the Malecon and we will go...back, it is the best we have tried in two vacations in the area. View all feedback.
What Hilda Ahebwe doesn't like about el zarape:
we ate first in el zarape malecon when we first came to the city. smaller, right on the water-located place we loved. good food, good service, good drinks, great location and view. then we heard of the real el zarape, 25 blocks from the malecon, where the real Mexicans go, so we tried. it is perhaps too far from the picturesquecon, figuratiw, for most tourist. no menu in English, no one who speaks English, eat good,... Definitiw an authentic place to go to home style Mexican cuisine. they can order a la carte or fill in their plate at the extensive buffet. tamales, queensadillas made, suppensalat, pork cooked in a mango sauce, huh in mol, pasta, rice, killer refried...Bohnen and dessert are all there for choice. Besides, they have a complete menu and a full bar for choice.
We had breakfast. Fast, friendly and patient service. Good variety. Very full plates and tasty good. Cheers!
Visited three times while in La Paz. Twice I had a delicious breakfast with what seemed to fresh squeezed orange juice and once for a late lunch of fish tacos that were very good with plenty of fish!. I had the same server all three...times and she was kind, attentive and courteous and helped me with my Spanish also. Go here! It needs to be discovered so it's still there when I go back! Oh, and as mentioned in other reviews, the view is outstanding!

El zarape was one of my favorite restaurants in la paz. I visited el zarape several times during my stay! eating is delicious, especially the flan, and ernesto is the best! always had a great experience here!
