"Loved our time here. The bartenders are very knowledgeable and they have a great variety of mezcal. We left with a bottle to travel with which just topped off such a wonderful experience."

"14/12 We three middle aged Brits are touring BC for two weeks. We are spending four nights in LP and I checked out BS on TA, seeing it was well regarded. We met our Spanish friend in LP and he had eaten here the day...before and liked it. He convinced us to join him the next day for Breakfast. We arrived at 11am to find a long deep cafe with a few people dining in and also seating in the pavement occupied by a family. We took the double table by the window and waited, and waited for the menus to appear. Eventually they did appear and we realised this is rather above our budget I had wanted to go to McFisher to try it out but was overruled . After a lot of choosing from the varied menu we ordered from the waitress. My friend particularly likes avocado milk 'shake ' from Moroccan holidays and ordered one as they obviously had the ingredients.she had to be convinced to make one up. In London we frequent The Bagel Bake in Brick Pane so anything else is a let down, although here they had varied bagels including smoked marlin, eggs and BACON !, hardly Kosher and hummus. Our friend ordered the cheapest Cream Cheese Bagels 45 and was asked which style from a good variety. I chose the cheapest vegan salad 95 with a ginger sauce chosen out of a wide choice and my friend a hummus bagel. Our Spanish friend had his favourite smoked Marlin bagel 220 . I ordered a fruit salad with honey 60 too which was my version of a smoothie without being smoothed . The total order is in the picture of the receipt I submitted. Other people arrived inside and outside so the atmosphere improved and they were served promptly! Within good time the food arrived and Although I was initially dubious regarding the highish prices I was actually impressed! All the food was nicely prepared, fresh and generous and even the simple cheap cc bagel was toasted and plain but a tub of chive cream cheese. My salad was a mix of lettuce, baby tomatoes, avocados, fried bell peppers and germinated quinoa? seeds. All v hipster healthy I 'm sure. I took my time over that dish and passed half of it over to my friends to share. The fruit with honey was a good generous mix of fruit so provided more of a vitamin fix. My friends were happy with their choices although one who ordered the vegetarian bagel with hummus was not too impressed by the light spread of reddish paste that was meant to resemble hummus he did not taste any hummus . We finished and ordered the bill which came to 725 total so 800 including a tip. Our friend wanted to pay by card but the waitress said it was not possible as the machines were down. Oooops! We ended up paying the 800 by cash and left quite happy that it was not a total rip off but I really wanted to try McF the next day! . The WiFi was actually very good speeds both down and upload! Much better than where we are staying. If only I had known...."
