Very good reception and very pleasant staff. Very nice bakery project but to improve. Very hard and dry fries with cheddar without taste. Steack chopped in the burger too thick and too cooked so dry. The desserts are a little too sweet. The price a little high. We still have a good time read more.

"We were looking for a lunch with friends near La Souterraine. We fell on this very friendly hostel. The service is very fast and the dishes are very good (with a choice between several entries, dishes and homemade desserts for a low price). The server was particularly smiling and pleasant. "Lovely evening out with English friends. The new owners were very welcoming and accommodating. The suggestion that the wives would miss a starter and share their husband's was met without the bat of a Gallic eyelid so when the chef arrived with a small teaplate of the starter from the husband's portion but beautifully presented in its own right we were delighted-and as suspected the portion was of ample size to suit everyone. The main courses and desert were delicious-even the chips which accompanied a succulent steak -if they were frozen as is often the case they managed to hide it very well! Will definitely go again and be happy to recommend the place. Like buckmaster53 I cannot accept lindarichardcpr had a normal experience especially as a Sunday roast has not featured on the menu for a number of months as far as I know."
