What User doesn't like about Pizzeria Saint-Michel:
En route to visit friends we stayed overnight near La Souterraine arriving early afternoon, so went to explore. It is a typical French small town but as is the French way everything was closed. We had to wait for the Pizza place to open, as it was the only reasonably priced place we could find, not wanting a full blown dinner.The service was not great and nor was the food, it was just ok. read more.

"We were looking for a lunch with friends near La Souterraine. We fell on this very friendly hostel. The service is very fast and the dishes are very good (with a choice between several entries, dishes and homemade desserts for a low price). The server was particularly smiling and pleasant. "Lovely evening out with English friends. The new owners were very welcoming and accommodating. The suggestion that the wives would miss a starter and share their husband's was met without the bat of a Gallic eyelid so when the chef arrived with a small teaplate of the starter from the husband's portion but beautifully presented in its own right we were delighted-and as suspected the portion was of ample size to suit everyone. The main courses and desert were delicious-even the chips which accompanied a succulent steak -if they were frozen as is often the case they managed to hide it very well! Will definitely go again and be happy to recommend the place. Like buckmaster53 I cannot accept lindarichardcpr had a normal experience especially as a Sunday roast has not featured on the menu for a number of months as far as I know."
