#125 of 2017 Long time local favorite still packing it in Decided it was time to bring Mog here who has never been.
Hands down, BEST SPARE RIBS I have ever had IN MY LIFE!! We drove by Helena's to pick up food upon our arrival to O'ahu last week.
What can I sat about Helena's that hasn't already been saidIt is very authentic, and very good Hawaiian foodIf you want a taste of local, come here.

"8 of us decided to get together at Tom's for dinner instead of the usual place(s). It was excellent. The chicken souvlaki got nice comments and the lasagna folks were very happy. Have had pizza (to go) and it too was really tasty."

"We went past this place and it seemed modern and closer to what we were looking for, so we decided to stop. On the surface this looks like any other food store that can be found near a petrol station. It's more than that. There is a seating area if you want to eat and a complete menu café. Their speciality is stone oven thin crust pizza. We ordered the barbecue chicken in the 12 inch size. It was the right size to share and it was delicious. This was made very fresh. I had a coffee too. They gave me a cup and I could fill them with a selection of about 3 or 4 coffee varieties. I chose dark and it was the best coffee so far in Lac La Biche. I noticed on the menu above the order counter that they also make breakfast, sandwiches and soups. Of course there is a gas station plus a car wash under the same group of buildings. The most distant building had a brew pub that could make a great place for dinner and beer. In Lac La Biche there is not much to eat, at least that I have seen so far. I can tell you that next time we don't feel like cooking in the RV, that's where we go, at least until we find something better. Yeah, the coffee and the pizza were really so good. I noticed a number of locals eating here and they need to know the food scene better than a visitor like me. But I can't give five stars because you're basically still in a tank store with all the ambience that comes with it. I recommend you try this place, and maybe even the beer pub next door."

"This is the ONLY restaurant in ALL of Alberta that will not let you in if you do not have a QR code regardless if you are from another province or not. This includes other BP's IN alberta. NEVER GOING BACK!!!!!! ps.....still waiting for a call from BP HEAD office. It has been days at the time of writing this review."

"The menu here has quite a few different items listed. I had a 12" Beef Dip for lunch.Surprisingly, it came with no sides. The bun was slightly toasted. There was just Beef inside, no sauce, no onions or anything else. The Beef was ok. The Aus Jus was way too salty. Overall, it was just average. The prices were also average and the service was a bit slow."

"The staff there is stingy as hell with their toppings. Ordered two foot long steak a cheese subs that were supposed to be double meat. ... Nope! I paid for double meat and never got it. Will not be going back there and highly do not recommend."
