"2 tips:1) Stay off your cellphone while at the counter; it is posted on the menu.2) Be willing to ask questions and try something new!The gyros are huge and they don't skimp on the toppings.The lemon rice soup has a thicker consistency, great flavor.The desserts are delicious! They have some brought in from Chicago (like 5 types of cakes and other things) and some that are homemade. I love the Kadaifi and Baklava.The food is very well priced for portions and always good. I've always had a pleasant experience here!"

"First, some history: According to their website, the building that now houses McGraw's has been part of the history of Tippecanoe County for nearly two hundred years. The building and its property served various functions?an inn for a few years, a boathouse for a few years more. In 1948, the building was transformed into a restaurant called Stiney?s. As a restaurant, Stiney?s was famous for exactly the sort of food McGraw?s is known for today: delicious steaks, hearty meat entrees, and especially the fresh local catfish. Stiney?s signature cocktail, a delicious concoction of galiano, vodka, orange juice, and ice cream, was named the ?whispering river? after the Wabash. In 1999 Stiney?s closed, but was reopened and transformed into McGraw?s Steak Chop Fish House under the new owner, Todd McGraw. The Crispy Shoestring Onions appetizer was delicious and enough for four people. It is available as a side, also which I wish I had been informed of before I ordered the full size one. The French onion soup was so-so. The cheese was excellent, but some of the onions were in big pieces. Appearances can be deceiving in the case of the Beef Stroganoff. The sauce was very thin and the beef had about one out of four pieces that were inedible because they were fat and gristle. The scenery is unbeatable in West Lafayette. There are outdoor tables which would be wonderful when the temperature allows."

"Saw this place on the Food Channel a few years ago and finally got the chance to stop in. Was smaller than I expected, seating wise. However, it's definitely a place to check out if you are in the area. Great food and service. Our server was in ROTC so we had a great conversation about life in the military (I served 11 years) and the affects on personal relationship. Root beer and burgers were on point. Would definitely stop in again."
