What Kristopher Sauer doesn't like about The French Press:
As a traveler passing thru, you have to pay to meter park. It’s either coins or pay thru an app. The inside is small and the tables they seat 2 at are so small. Once they bring your food, drink with your napkin silverware there is no more room. A little table right up against the wall is not an atmosphere to enjoy your meal. I ordered the ham grilled cheese, $12! View all feedback. What Jeanne Schmidt likes about The French Press:

read moreLocated in downtown Lafayette, The French Press offers a quaint and charming dining experience with a bar at the back. Despite small tables, the food is delicious and well-presented at reasonable prices. The highlight is the Bloody Mary with unique toppings. The staff is engaging and accommodating, making the overall experience wonderful. While there was a slow service incident due to a cook walking out, the attentive and apologetic server made up for it. The ambiance is beautiful and the dishes, including the Cajun Benedict and Praline Bacon, are a must-try. The eclectic menu, including options like Chicken and Waffles and praline bacon, offers a gourmet delight that is highly recommended. Overall, The French Press is a recommended dining spot with excellent food and service.
The location is in downtown Lafayette, on the corner. pleasant setting has a bar at the rear. In relation to the meal you receive, the pricing are fair.
Some of the best food these Aussies have eaten, and meeting our server Blake has been one of the highlights of our trip. Thanks for such a lovely time!
