We had lunch at this restaurant when we went to the lake at Laives for a day out. We hadn’t booked, but this might be wise in July and August. There is a comprehensive a la carte menu as well as a choice of set menus. The restaurant specialises in frogs legs, but you can also have snails, fish, pork, beef, burgers and a range of salads. Definitely something for everyone. We sat under the large awning with a view over... View all feedback.
What Diane Ollivier doesn't like about Au Bout Du Monde:
Catch basic tourists. Fortunately, the nice setting and the beautiful wine map are the level of this restaurant. Soft frying, small trout, salad that smells the dishes liquid. Bearing to the unserved pressure in the adjacent cabin at the restaurant, because it was empty and did not wish to replace it (it was 19h.. A little clever and unfriendly service. And the pumpom, the note at the end scandalously high for an ape... View all feedback.

Definitely something for everyone. We sat under the large awning with a view over the lake, thoroughly enjoying the relaxing atmosphere. Service was good, not pushy or hurried and managed to know what was available thanks to our limited French and the staffs English.
Unfortunately, the view is the only thing that is worths a visit. The staff is friendly, but the food is poor. We decided to eat because of the location, but it would have been better to step in the car and look for another place.
We come for the place, I really thought that my GPS had lost the compass, arrived at the edge of a lake where the fishermen in boats let themselves be carried away, it's time for an aperitif! The place could resemble a tavern, the bay windows invite us to daydream, we missed a ray of sunshine, but that cannot be ordered. On the other hand, what we order is the white frog pudding! An exclusivity ! What can I say except that the frogs were with parsley and well buttered, perhaps a little lacking in salt... but that... We had a starter, main course and dessert price for €30, we were full.
Great welcome, ideal setting (can't wait to try the terrace in summer with a view of the lake), copious dishes, we had a great time! THANKS
For a family meal, a romantic lunch in a magnificent setting. Damien welcomes us with happiness and Morgane delights our taste buds We happily return there every time.
