LOVE Shades of Green! Beautiful property, huge rooms, and great amenities. such an awesome place for military families to utilize when visiting Disney World. I will never stay anywhere else when in Orlando! The proximity to the Polynesian was an extra bonus as well. Super easy to get there to access the monorail and to get a Dole Whip...every day! What Marci J doesn't like about Evergreens:
I'd give Shades 3.5 stars. Like others have said, it is exactly what you expect. The property and the rooms are older, but well kept. The staff is friendly and the food is fine. We only tried the breakfast to go downstairs and the coffee/ice cream shop upstairs. Both were easy and convenient. The busses were also easy and conenient and got us to and from the parks with no problems. If you are looking for a very reaso... View all feedback.
Good service and atmosphere. Friendly folks. Don't order the chicken nachos. It was pretty bad. Especially the cheese.

3 years in a row with good food, great brew selection, and nice prices.
Excellent safe place for active duty, retired service members. The pool is so much and the life guards are superb.
Team, this is a very quiet resort. The buildings are dating well, in other words, this is an older facility but they work overtime keeping it clean. The service, the service professionals are very kind. We ate there a couple time and the food is good. To be completely honest, the on-site marquee restaurant (this is only my 1 time personal experience) was poor. The filet was returned, the veggies were lukewarm and the server, unfortunately, didn't take to the specials and we missed out. However, If you're a golfer, this place has to be a destination. Small TV, stiff mattresses, no microwave are a few of the things I would change. BUT, the peaceful feeling and familiarity of being around military people cannot be quantitatively measured. If you're military or retired, this is a must-stay.
