One of the best restaurants I've ever been to, and quite possibly the best in the Southern Highlands.
Booked for lunch at 12.30pm - When we arrived we were seated quickly at one of the rooms towards the front at a window so that was nice as we got to people

"I understand being busy, especially at breakfast time, but some courtesy would be nice. No one ever acknowledged our presence, wait staff left tables a mess that could be used to seat the half dozen people that waited. I was willing to sit at the bar, but decided to respect the sign that said please don 't seat yourself at dirty tables, let staff seat you and wait for the staff to clear them, but apparently that sign is non enforced as several people forced their way past after I entered to sit at dirty bar seats and they were immediately served. I can do better going to Waffle House."

"When you come to Lake Charles, Darrell is the first place you visit, period. Amazing Poboys, beautiful casual atmosphere and high-quality waiting staff ensure a great experience. The BBQ Beef Poboy is my Go-to-Ordner, as the Mayo/Mustard/Cheese/BBQ sauce mixture is heavenly and the bread is so buttery and flaky. Always on Darrell's first!"

"This BBQ is so good it should be illegal. Smoked brisket sandwiches here are going to be the end of my arteries I'm sure. The blackberry bread pudding will make you want to eat it first! I also enjoy the variety of beers and flavored sodas. ? The staff is always nice and friendly!"

"Texas roadhouse never lets me down! big bets and wonderful sides. it's my favorite restaurant. the homemade yeast rolls with zimtbutter that they serve when they sit is so good. I would give them 10 stars if I could! Accessibility: the parking is always full. they have a parking space and a side entrance and a marked parking space for order to go."

"1. Once visited and I was not disappointed. Almost missed the pictures of the food. I couldn't wait to dip, but I got a picture before everyone left. The staff was friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Worth a visit when you're in the area."
