"Meh. First meal in Canada and we were in the mood for something pretty hearty. We found this place on yelp as it was one of the few restaurants that had more than 5 reviews. Since we were visiting Canada, we thought we'd try some Canadian food. We came on a Thursday night but there was no advertisement that there was a wing special, must be only for locals. The menu is pretty vast, with dishes from countries all over the world. We ordered the poutine, catch of the day, shepherd's pie, rib tips, chicken kiev, and a few other dishes. It seems like they tried to make each dish like the traditional version but missed the essentials: their poutine didn't have cheese curds but used shredded cheese instead, their shepherd's pie was not topped with baked crusty mashed potatoes but had a few scoops of mash on the side instead, etc. We decided to stick with ethnic foods after this meal for the rest of our trip and get poutine only from recommended poutineries."
