"What a treat! Our family of five had a wonderful dinner experience at The View. The reception was over the top with hot refreshing towel service and personalized menus. We were seated at a window table for a beautiful view (it looks like the majority of tables have wonderful views).Our server, Riley, was courteous and genuine, seeking to make sure everyone had an enjoyable experience. I very much appreciated her attention to detail in remembering which of our party had allergies or dietary needs.The food itself was fantastic. I had all three courses: Gouda custard, risotto fritters, and chicken. The chicken, with za'ataar spices, was one of the absolute best I've ever had and I heartily recommend it.Excellent experience over all!Do make a reservation early.Parking was easy in the back (drive up the driveway on the left of the hotel).Dietary restrictions: Dietary restrictions and allergies were discussed when the reservation was made, and our server was well informed when we arrived."

"46 different sandwiches! That is a crazy amount of sandwiches!! If you cant find a sandwich that is to your liking then you suck and you should eat elsewhere! This place is awesome!!! Totally recommended."

"WOW! This was the food highlight of our trip to Lake Placid. We ordered the Brisket Nigiri (not worth it-hard to eat and rice was undercooked , the Signature Rib Nachos (out of this world! and the Brisket Platter. The nachos were a mountain of flavor! Toppings layered throughout. Portion was gigantic. We got the biggest pieces of brisket I’ve ever seen a restaurant serve. One piece was a little overcooked, but the other was the best piece of brisket I’ve had in my life. So tender, juicy, and flavorful! The only critique I have is that there wasn’t enough sauce! This sauce needs to be sold! Make sure to SHARE everything-portions are HUGE! This place was very popular so get on the list early or make a reservation."

"Big Slide has a great job in maintaining several vegan options on their menu as it changes due to seasonal availability. They usually have a vegan sandwich, pizza and duck option, and now even dessert! At the time of this review they had a drawn jackfruit pita sandwich, Korean BBQ “chicken” pizza, and tofu au vin, plus carrot cake. Excellent beer with friendly service and great food. You can not make reservations, but you can visit the waiting list about their website before arrival to avoid waiting for a table."

"Food is always incredible here tons of options. They also offer gluten free bread for our gluten free friends (allergy and preference options). Wait times can be a bit high on the weekends so make sure you call ahead to place an order, but I promise it is well worth the wait! We look forward to coming here every year!"
