Herby's Kitchen - Lakeland

Stopped by yesterday for lunch about 11:30 am, took a seat right in front of the host stand. After sitting for about 10 minutes with no staff interaction at all an elderly couple came in. Two staff members assisted them to a table, gave them menus andtook their drink order. I got up and headed to Reececliff where I know the service is spot on. Hey Herbies, word of mouth cankill a diner. You?ve lost my business.

On their entrance is written Family Food and today, after having breakfast with them, I understood why! This is one of the friendliest places ever! Everyone is so nice and the way we were treated made us feel like we were regulars even though it wasour first time there. Food is also very good, feels like it has a deeper level of flavor to it. Prices were totally reasonable.I 'm sure will be back first chance we get.

I had a great experience at this restaurant with delicious homemade food. My only wish is that they were more open and approachable when it comes to interacting with customers. I visited with a friend who ordered something I had never tried before and had always been pushing me to try. I finally did and was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The menu had a wide variety of options to choose from. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, despite being tired from a busy day. I could tell they were dedicated to providing great service. I highly recommend this restaurant as one of the best in Lakeland. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

Our daughter recommended this diner to us because she knew we would enjoy the fries and the brown gravy. She was not wrong, as both were very delicious! However, my experience took a turn when I asked for a plastic container for my leftover omelette. The owner insisted on giving me a styrofoam box instead, explaining that they save the plastic containers for soup. I even offered to pay $1 for a plastic container, but she still refused. While I understand the need to conserve plastic, I was disappointed by the lack of flexibility and customer service. Unfortunately, this experience has cost the restaurant two customers.

This restaurant is a great find, offering a variety of dishes on their menu and providing friendly service. The prices are very fair. I enjoyed the ham and cheese omelet, which was pleasantly fluffy, compared to the flat style I make at home.
