On the recommendation of a friend I tried the suture mushroom today and really enjoyed it! One of the girls in the office is vegan and tried some of their foods and it was also very good. The pizza dough had a nice chewing bite and the sauce was also very good. Anyway, it'll be back. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Mellow Mushroom Lakeland:
Not even busy and taking 10 minutes just to get sat. Hostess, Kaylynn, has zero personality or sense of urgency and was rude. We won?t even talk about the three massive hickeys on her neck. The restaurant was dirty. The pizza was good and our waiter, Ezra, was amazing! He was efficient and very polite. The hostesses lack of customer service normally would have made us leave but we were on a road trip and very hungry.... View all feedback.
We ate at this Mellow Mushroom with about 45 youth kids. We called ahead and they were very excited to take us in. We ordered 7 XL cheese and 7 XL pepperoni pizzas. The staff was amazing! The food was also amazing!
Mellow Mushroom is one of the best pies for a nationwide chain. The consistency remains the same regardless of what state or city you go to. The Pacific Rim is a family favorite and you can’t beat the Mellow Monday special for a $12 medium cheese. If you haven’t tried this pizza restaurant then you’re missing out. This isn’t your cheap pizza chain that you deliver so don’t expect any deals.
Service was great, love the atmosphere and the relaxed feel. Looks like the staff actually enjoys their job and are always ready to greet and sit you when you walk in. Food is AMAZING! We ordered the cloud9 wings those were full of flavor and pull right off the bone. Bruschetta was also full of flavor and all of the ingredients were fresh tasted very light and refreshing. Mighty Meaty pizza had a nice and crispy crust but light. Didn’t taste like heavy dough. Meats were nicely cooked with crispy edges. LOVE THIS PLACE! We have been here many times and still have not been disappointed!!!
The place doesn’t look bad. It’s clean and the inside looks great, who ever designed the interior did a nice job. The service was professional and quick! The pizza though that’s where things for me personally are 50/50. I’ve traveled many states, provinces and countries and I’ve had my fair share of amazing tasting pizza! In this case the pizza doesn’t taste bad but I just can’t say it’s the best I’ve had. I can’t justify the $60 spent on two pies. I could have purchased 5 stuffed crust little Cesar’s pizza which aren’t bad and have the meh factor I got from these two pies I tried. Stone, wood, charcoal, open fire oven baked pizza’s tend to have a smoky earth rich flavor but these pizza’s just tasted normal to me. Nothing special to be honest. I feel like it was made like any other large chain pizza shop. The pizza did not taste bad but would I ever go back and spend almost $30 a piece for large normal tasting pizzas the answer is no. I like pizzas that make me say wow! That gives my mouth goose pumps with every chew. I didn’t get any of the wow factor on these. If anyone wants good pizza but not super amazing pizza with the amazing pizza price tag this would be the spot. The service is great, the place is clean and looks amazing! But the pizza was very uninspiring. I give it 1 star for price! 2.5 stars for taste! 5 stars for cleanliness 5 stars customer service
Our server Cameron was great. Very helpful and knowledgeable of the menu and the options. It was certainly a wait for the food, but I think that was because they weren’t going to be open, but changed it at the last moment from the hurricane. I highly recommend the pretzel bites!
