"First, the people who run the restaurant are lovely. They are a sincere couple. Ultimately there are three issues with this restaurant 1) the service is so sadly slow. Wait times can exceed more than one should ever wait 2) the food although quality is overpriced. and lastly 3) Its just plainly overhyped. I know that this may not come off as a positive review, because the people are very genuine who run this restaurant. But its very overhyped. If you're visiting town I would save yourself the trouble. "So sad that in 2022 we still have to deal with ignorance. My husband and I literally waited until this restaurant opened. We walked in and were about to get seated by the waitress however forgot something outside. We walked back in minutes later and were about to get seated again, BUT... assuming the owner or manager (a blonde woman) turned us away. She then proceeded saying that reservations were needed and that there was a waiting list. Keep in mind, the restaurant just opened and there were 3 parties seated already and about 15 available tables. Not only did she say that, she came up with another story how they were moving restaurants and such. A few different excuses to NOT let us eat since we weren't Caucasian. We're both senior executives for multi-million dollar companies and were looking for some good healthy farm to table food. Just showed a cowardly move excuses on her part. If you want to be racist, just be direct rather than come up with multiple excuses. This is just a stork reminder of southern charm."
