We finally found a place open in LAKES ENTRANCE. Nicks said they did Salt and Pepper Calamari with salad.Yup, we said, sounds perfect.Only it wasn’t. Utterly flavorless. No salt or pepper on the very prepared manufactured calamari. Only 8 small pieces of calamari. Rubbish!!The chips weren’t any better. Never seen bright yellow chips before. And again flavorless. "Had takeaway on what we thought might be a super busy night (friday on the last day of the school term) but we're presently surprised with only a 10 minute wait. We ordered the tails pack and the scallop pack, both were delicious and there was more than enough food for the both of us. We thought pricing was quite reasonable, especially given how good the food was."

"Booked the lunch package that included a boat cruise to/from Lakes Entrance, wine tasting, cheese platter and main course. I would highly recommend this package, which is booked directly through the winery’s website, and not Peels cruises. We had a very informative commentary on the boat, saw a group of rare lake dolphins swimming in the lake, saw seals sunning themselves on the rocks near the entrance, and various bird life. The winery is in a pretty bush setting, and we were seated out on the balcony overlooking trees. The wine tasting included a range of white, rose, moscato, reds and fortified wines, and the lunch itself was delicious. A great way to experience the combination of the lake, some nature, and great food and wine."

"My husband and I had pizzas from here last night. We were very unimpressed. I had a chicken pizza, which had bacon and pineapple. I found that there was more bacon than chicken, and it was very bland. It tasted like there was no tomato sauce at all on it. The base was rather underwhelming too. It's really disappointing when you only have takeaway once in a while and when you do indulge, it's a huge waste of money. We won't be going here again!"
