Phenomenal Revival from the original restaurant! They kept a majority of the original recipes, and improved on some. The new and improved schnitzels have a fantastic new crunchy breading and tenderness. Atmosphere was updated to be a little more modern, but they kept some of the old German style decor up. What Richie Rich doesn't like about Eve's Cafe:
There super slow now. we waited 45 minutes for food. They were carrying out tons of to go orders and not feeding the patrons in the restaurant. The schnitzels are way smaller then they use to before $18. Ill have to tell Eve to unretire. All of the staff were teenagers and super young adults some had attitudes. View all feedback.
Good schnitzel plates with spatzl and red cabbage. The location is on the scenic (if often sleepy) Lampasas town square. I like to stop here whenever I’m on 183 to or from Austin.
We enjoy the meats greatly. The peach cheesecake was superb.
Took 30 minutes to get seated and another 10 to order and then 25 minutes to get our side Caesar salads, which had nothing in them except for lettuce and cheese. After another 25 minutes we got our meals which tasted alright, schnitzel was a little burnt and so were all the vegetables, ordered loaded spaetzle for 2 extra dollars and it came with barely anything on it. We waited for over an hour for a meal that was mediocre and over priced
First time since the new owner and everything was good food was great and the service was great also can't wait to go back
Delicious hometown German comfort food! We will be back next time we are in your area!
