What Mossman19 likes about Cafe 21:
Cafe 21 is a lovely cafe that serves mostly vegetarian food although I had a lovely smoked salmon, cream cheese and cucumber sandwich and a drink on the balcony which had fantastic views looking out onto the Bowland hills and also the Fylde. The staff are really friendly and I would say that it is the best place at Lancaster University to go out for lunch. View all feedback.

What tonyn220 doesn't like about Cafe 21:
It's a shame because the location is great and there is very little competition on campus for this sort of food. However the price to portion size ratio is off and the quality of the food is not sufficient to make up for it. Having been a few times, the curry is the stand out option. The wait can be long so it's typically best to go for an early lunch. View all feedback.

The menu is somewhat peculiar, but as far as I understand fine for a vegan. For me, the choice was really small. Slow service. OK if you are on campus, nothing...

"Not ok any day let alone easter sunday roast beef small 3 slices makin 1 decent slice. Just warm left hard chewy roasts ? Instant mash sloppy, yorkshires dry n soft, savoy cabbage n leeks un appetising, very basic peas n corn, red cabbage tasted awful, his chicken n ham dry tasteless thin gravy we were very disappointed, not worth £14 each, wont risk goin again it ruined our day out. Usually go local get 2lge slices Beef or ham or turkey, crispy Yorkshires n hot roasts, sweetheart cabbage, new potatoes, cauliflouer cheese, carrots, 2 lots nice hot gravy also hav lots boxes fruit or mince pies sqirty cream free 2 x roasts only £15.90 not £28 dont ever want to go there again left us dissatisfied n broke not havin a drink or sweet overpriced also flat and boring do much better myself"

"We chose this place after reading the great reviews, what a good decision. We had Sea bass, Phad Thai, and the ribs-it was absolutely fantastic. So fresh and tasty. My mum has only eaten Thai food once before, in a Poulton restaurant, and said this was on another level, best meal ever. I love ribs from a Chinese takeaway, so didn't expect these to be so tasty-they were so good I'll never eat others! Seriously the tastiest meal and even beats most food I've had in Thailand. It really is that good. Can't wait to try other dishes on the menu. Thank you Zabb."
