Recently stayed for a night with friends, could not fault anything. Rooms were immaculate and the food was really good. We had various evening meals which were all good, the cherry bakewell is to die for. Breakfast was also delicious, plentiful and good value. All the staff were great, very friendly. What KIPPERLEE doesn't like about Redwell Inn:
Went two or three years ago and had a decent meal so thought we'd try it again,sadly disappointed !Alarm bells should have been ringing when dining room was completely empty at Sunday teatime.Just basic pub grub which wasn't as the menu or ordered,only saving grace was that the waitress was friendly,polite apologetic for the mistakes.Not be returning in the foreseeable future ! Had a fabulous weekend stayed at the Red Well arrived as strangers but left with many new friends. Excellent rooms with quality bathroom fixtures and a powerful shower. Very comfortable beds slept so well. Attended a local 21st birthday party and lots of guests staying who had also been to the party so breakfast was a very sociable one with an excellent offer of continental breakfast at 8.30 or a bacon/cumberland sausage/ egg baps at 10.30 (probably not the normal breakfasts offered) but extremely accommodating and friendly staff. The pizzas looked amazing and we will be back to try one. Thankyou for a wonderful weekend and can't wait to return.
The pub is a short walk from where we were staying at Redwell Fisheries , the road was a bit scary , but grass verges helped ! We had the Greek pizza. I have to say it’s the best pizza we have had !! The IPA washed it down perfectly.
Great to see the Red Well open again. We called in the other day for a pint which was in good form. The manager told us that she's going to get beers from local breweries rather than rely on national brands, which is excellent news. We'll certainly be back, both here and at the owner's sister pub, The bay Horse in Arkholme, which is due to reopen very soon.
It's lovely to see the Red Well open again. The service is great with friendly and attentive staff. Pizzas are excellent. We look forward to returning soon.
Just passing ,thought we would give it a whirl,didn’t realise it had reopened,A pint of very acceptable beer Tiffin gold,and a half of morretti ..£6.40,Jesus I hadn’t realised I was paying the pub mortgage!Stupid price for this area.
