Starters okay, main course was cold and wasn’t presented very well
Lovely place staff friendly but service at the end was a little lacking which was a shame because the experience for a night away the place is lovely
Great food good service will definitely eat here again

"After we have seen good reviews on ta, we have here on a Friday lunch break. it seemed very popular, but we had no problems finding a table. there was a selection of four roasted sandwiches (either ciabatta or sourteigbrot) displayed in the cabinet, so I decided. the pastrami and lancashire cheese that were recommended on ta and my wife had ham and lancashire cheese. these came freshly roasted in delicious ciabatta brot probably made in the bakery at the end of the room where you could see that a few people flew away. both combinations were excellent. this excellent lunch was finished by freshly made atkinson coffee, a really extraordinary brew with beautiful strong taste directions and a fruity and nutty folding jacket that ends our lunch on the perfect way. service was very friendly and cheerful. we enjoyed it so much that we found our way to the music room later for another excellent cup coffee."

"We stayed overnight in our camper in their car park with the caveat that we have a meal in the pub. Very glad we did as this is possibly the most hospitable pub and the most friendly staff I have come across. This coupled with brilliant food and drink made it a perfect overnight stay. We only live 35 minutes away but I think we will be making this a regular stop over just to get away for a night or two. "Fabulous stay at this hotel, great location and we were well looked after for my husbands birthday. Shame it was super hot as the free standing bath in the suite looks amazing, and definitely would’ve enjoyed that! Will definitely return."
