What Paula Conte doesn't like about Trading Post Brewery Tasting Room:
1st off want to say that the food was fabulous!!! However, what p?d me off was extra charges ?. Toast with the soup (assumed it came with the dish when waitress asked if i wanted it was not advised it was an extra 3.50 for 2 slices of bread with oil on it, and then another 3.50 for carbonated water with a lime wedge that was never refilled. I know times are tough for businesses and increases are inevitable do we really need all these undisclosed charges that are not listed anywhere until you receive your bill. Of course as patrons you don?t want to make a scene. It?s tough on patrons as well our doesn?t go as far as it used to either and if we keep getting over charged on things it?s just going to hurt everyone in the end.
First visit sampled the IPA delicious,4 stars at the moment I'm pretty sure I can upgrade to five after another visit, patio and inside were busy but not overly....worth checking out.
It's been awhile but this is still my favorite spots prior to other micro breweries that recently opened up in the area. Good to have choices now. Love the location on 64th. And they are never too busy. Prior visits, they had live entertainment on Fridays? Usually go with their flight and pair it off with the appetizer (which looks like has been removed) the board w/crackers, cheese, pickles. And usually go with at least a growler or two afterwards. Looks like the Saison is still on the drink menu. Like the dark hoppy beer options. Hoping to be back soon.
Enjoyable lunch. a really good and generous bowl of chili (lunch) and a hazy IPA. Wife enjoyed the vegan bowl. A friendly and informative waiter. She gave us good info about the beers on offer. I have also been to the Fort Langley location; also very satisfactory. Thank you, Trading Post.
3 out of 4 of us ordered the spicy chicken sandwiches and loved it. I got the falafel burger (subbed out the meat to make it vegetarian) and it was good and the fries were great. However, the iced tea was not liked by the kids due to it being home brewed. Also, 2 of 3 of the kids didn't eat their meals because they tried to make them too fancy (pepper in the butter noodles and a special sauce on the burger) so they were wasted. The drinks were great and the server was nice, although he did royally mess up our bill for the 7 of us guests. It's a cool spot in the heart of Fort Langley, and we will be back but will be more specific for kids orders.
Great drinks food. Also a good place to bring your dog.
