"Great Cafe in town. Amazing views from the patio. Good selection of sandwiches and crepes. Free parking nearby. My only complaint is that the server insisted my GF leave a tip. She was going to anyways, but the waitress made a point to insist a tip. This seemed kind of rude and not something I have experienced anywhere else in Quebec. Otherwise, a great experience."

"It's about the maple (Erable) ice cream. It's better here than everywhere! For all I know, all their flavors are great, but no one does maple ice as they do. Her pots are huge too. If you just want a normal ice...cone, you get the smallest size. If you get something more than the smallest size, it will be enormous! (Not necessarily a bad thing, but don't say you were not warned)"

"A fabulous find of a place recommended to us after working up an appetite kayaking! The food was delicious served in the garden at the back overlooking the fjord. We even had to go to the local supermarket to purchase some of their ales!...Very reasonably priced too!"

"There are threee restaurants in L’Anse Saint Jean: one was closed, one was full, our last hope was the Café du quai. There was no room, reservations were full. « What about a take out » I asked, desperate. « Oh, yes, sure, and if you eat at...the quai, I can give it to you in real plates. But wait, is the picnic table outside by the street empty ? I can bring your order, on plates and with real glasses down there ». This picnic table is not on the restaurant property but it was empty, so we had dinner there. And it was excellent, althought a little meaty for my taste. The soup was delicious, the local beer was fine, the crepe was generous and the desert and tea were quite satisfying. The service nedless to say was amazing."
