What User likes about La Mesa Mexican:
Good food and service is also good. I got Fajita Jalisco and my wife got the #11 combination. Always big portions too. The only drawback is the hostess/owner is not the best host. There is always a lot available in a very small waiting area with many open tables. She has a great staff, but will leave the host for a long time on micromanage. But the food is good and also the rest of the crew! View all feedback.

"Best Mexican I had in the area.... It had a large menu and cheap prices, also for a Mexican restaurant. I had Tamale who were excellent, and the woman had a Chili Relleno that also looked good. It had a children's menu, but you really didn't need it. Our children had no problem finding things they like. I think Salsa was better than average. The service was fast and attentive. Definitely worth a second trip."

"We happened to see the flags outside and decided to try it since we hadn’t had Jamaican food for a long time. My first response was that it’d be too spicy. We met David the owner, and he grinned and corrected me and said “flavorful”. I now use that word in my vocabulary! We got the pulled pork and the non-alcohol pink ting soda (at David’s recommendation). Boy, was that a refreshing drink after that AMAZING flavorful smoky meat. My husband and I looked at each other and said we hadn’t had this good of a meal since we were in Seattle and had found the best Cuban sandwiches. This is in no way Cuban food but the excellence of representing a country’s cuisine is 5 star and above. The restaurant is owned and managed by David and his wife. David is US military, and we literally thank him for his service! Sorry it took so long to write this. We were there about a month ago. I’d say load up your family and friends and take a road trip. We’re from KC. Thanks David!"
