"Hosts Angelo and Marina offer lodging and meals in Casterino, France. This tiny hamlet deep in the mountains offers a great base for a variety of mountain adventure. We stayed at their gorgeous lodge for 8 days with no repeat of dishes on the menu of the day, and at least one extraordinary offering at every meal. Great food. An ala Carte menu and terrific cellar complement the overall experience. Angelo is a great sommelier serving with Italian enthusiasm. Some nights the restaurant had many guests not staying at the lodge; others we were surrounded by other guests. A special place worth the effort it takes to get into the high country where history and nature have many things to offer visitors. This is at the southeastern edge of the Mercantour National Park, very near the border between France and Italy."

"The chance of our motorcycle trip brought us to the inn of the mill. We had a warm welcome and tasted a specialty of Nice, the capuns. That was delicious !! Congratulations to the chef who delighted us. The portions being very generous, we were even offered doggy bags. "We decided to come with our little children for a day "summer sled"- activity that we recommend warmly - and decide to make our meal stop in this establishment. Certainly the view is beautiful but from the entrance the bare cb panonceau surprises me and even chagrine me. We are in the 19th century and this type of payment has been the number 1 for years. That is why my wife (ouf !!) has a check on her.Ice house, the manager (or at least the only person you can think of as from the house )short and savates installs us. 5 dishes are on the slate of the day, but we are informed that today there were only sausages and “the slice of leot” we did not want to continue the experiment further. at the time of our visit a single table was occupied ... this may explain this ...Direction the sledge and a super nice resto in the center of the station I will speak in another opinion"
